This fall, about 30 Doha kids, teens and young adults took part in animation workshops led by DTFF community outreach programmer and
Ajami director Scandar Copti.

At Doha Montessori and British School and
Education City, DTFF editor Jamie Riordan taught the students how to make a zoetrope (a cylindrical device that creates the illusion of movement from still images), like the one used before many of
DTFF's videos. Then Copti (pictured at left) helped them make mini-films out of modeling clay characters, acrylic paint and pastel backdrops, and stop motion animation. You can meet a few of the students and find out what they thought about the workshop by viewing our
blog post and
photo gallery.
